Lost 2nd amendment rights?

I bought a handgun only to learn I could not receive it. After some digging I found that 13 years ago my now ex wife had gotten a restraining order and it still remains to this day. I was aware of this when she got it. Went to to see judge 2 weeks later when she asked him to dismiss it. We both thought it was dismissed.We were married for about 2 more years before we got divorced. We have a child together and get along pretty good . The distract attorney told me to have her file an amendment .She clams she did about 3 months ago but nothing has changed.This has been more of problem then just my rights being lost. In my line of work background check are common.This has cost me to loose jobs that I otherwise would have gotten. I have no convictions of any kind on my record.I don't know what I can do or who can help me other than a lawyer but really cant afford one at the present time.DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO CAN HELP OR THAT I CAN TALK TO?
