Where is Amazon's alert box?

I have an item from amazon that is out of stock and I want to use the alert box feature they talk about, but I have no clue where it is! I've checked beside the information where they say it should be and there is nothing. I've even tried looking at other out of stock items and haven't found it then either. I have a logged in account so I don't think that is the problem
