Why is my PS3 so slow?

when i download demos or updates on the ps3 it takes 5+ hours to do so! My connection speed is udder crap for my ps3 (download-800kb/s, Upload-100kb/s) so i know that has something to do with it but i think it has to do with the ps3 itself, its one of the older 37gb versions. My xbox360 which sits right beside my ps3 only takes like 20-30 minutes to download demos and only like 5 minutes for updates. My sisters boyfriend brought his ps3 over a few days ago and it sat right below mine and he downloaded an update in like 10 minutes and then downloaded and installed a game in about half an hour which i don't get how! Could it just be my ps3 being very old and could buying a new 250gig one solve the problem?

I've always wondered what people think when they see me and what I'm labeled as. I'm not a can so I shouldn't have a label bla bla bla yeah I know but I was just wondering. Well I like to draw and I love to listen to music. Some of my favorite artists are Santigold, Florence + the Machine, Friendly Fires, Imogene Heap, Adele, Fleetwood Mac, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and others. I usually draw realistic looking people but I used to draw a lot of anime as well. I don't really watch much tv or play video games. I usually just daydream and sunbathe (I'm always freezing cold). I don't really like starting drama but I like watching it unfold. I laugh everytime something gets chaotic even though I should probably be stressed out. I dress for comfort and most of the cloths I wear are Aeropostle, Rue 21 (their jeans are the only ones long enough that don't have high waters but also aren't super baggy), and Wal-mart shirts but I could probably match up my old torn shirts, too short jeans, and peace/heart neckleaces and mood rings better than most girls could with a whole new wardrobe from an expensive outlet mall. The places I like hanging out with my friend's the most is the cafeteria and the gym or outside in the front of the school. The most I do with my hair is just put in a ponytail or a side bun. I'm more comfortable in large crowds than I am with 2 or 3 people unless they're my best friends. I hate texting and talking on the phone because I always clam up or forget what to say and texting just takes too long. I don't want to grow up and I really don't want to drive because that's a major skill people need to learn when they're growing up. Oh and I've recently found a facination with taking pictures. I'm not very social unless I'm spoken to first. People kind of have to try really hard to get me to open up to them but when I do I'm a really loyal friend and the sweetest of all sweethearts :). Of course I know I probably look mean and not very friendly on the outside but this rules out any snobby or clique-ish people trying to befriend me. Welp good luck. My new girlfriend "doesn't understand" relationships.?

This is a situation I've never been in before, I'll try and keep it brief. I got together with a girl I used to know years ago as kids..talked on FB for ages before we actually met up, and she said she loved the fact I wasn't like "other blokes". we used to talk for hours on the phone and got on great, but like any decent mum, she ws worried about introducing someone new to the children.After a while we met up, and really clicked and the kids old her how much they liked me etc etc, so I thought everything was going great. Had dinner with her mum, brother etc one day and they said it was great to have someone around that treated her and the kids so well..... then out of the blue she "vanished". no replies to texts, no answer when I called etc, and deleted on FB. I tried for ages but got no response, so tried to forget it and move on. that was 3 months ago. it was her birthday recently so I sent a one off text wishing her a happy birthday, and she replied! I ws over the moon! we have been talking again recently, although its very patchy, but when I try and ask her anything to do with "us", she clams up, and says she "doesn't understand relationships, whats the point". She says she likes me, she says I'm a really nice bloke, and its great the kids like me. but its almost impossible to get her to talk about anything to do with having a relationship. she has strongly denied having anyone else, and I believe her. I'm being patient, and most people would just walk away, but I can't, I really think we could have a great future. What is wrong with my cat? He's acting weird?

I've had my cat Socks for 6 yrs. For the last year he has been an only cat because his brother died. About a month ago I decided to get him a playmate because I know how much he loved his brother. It took 3 weeks for them to get along. He was very stubborn. So, for the last 2 weeks Socks and the new kitten, Boots have been great buddies. But today something happened. For some reason that I have no clue about, he starting growling and hissing at the new kitten! They stay indoors and Socks is neutered, Boots isn't old enough yet. I got home about 5:00, my kids wanted to play outside so I left the door open and the 2 cats were just sitting at the door looking out. About 30 min or so later, Socks ran under the table and starting getting very aggressive towards Boots. Socks always gets upset when he sees a strange cat outside, you think he saw a cat outside and triggered this? I don't know what to do. Its really bad. He is hissing and growling as I type. Boots, the kitten is staying away from him because he knows something is wrong with Socks. Any advice?

i had tried to seperate them ,making a play area in basement for cat, cat has a mini dog playmate as well as well as working with my little one by showing animal bites that were accidental in videos and so on, i finally had chosen to possibly declaw or find a new home and was in the process of making arrangements for either of those though it was heartbreaking as the cat is amazing and was rescued by me and her from the banks of a river 8 months ago and such a part of the family though still a bit wild as animals can tend to be and i put him out after the last scratch he never returned i am sad and i wonder what else i should have done..he started 2 spray as well lately due surely to a neighbors cat that had broken in to my basement via the dryers vent and sprayed the basement in multitude and i was going 2 get him spayed at the vet this week as well...4 this new problem is it possible the other cats odd behavior and roaming around outside spiked a little more than wild in my cats behavior in the recent history i described..as it seems i was closer to domesticating him up until 2 months ago via scratches, when these neighbors moved in? as well they just moved out this week and took their cat..if he comes back should i try again hoping??

Can't open my jaw all the way?

2 days ago, I fell and smashed the left side of my chin while hiking. The fall must have put pressure on my jaw because it will only open about the width of my index finger no matter what I do. Royal Marine boyfriend temper issues?

i am living with a royal marine, we have been together for 1 year (i have been in a couple long term relationships that ive ended but this one is different i can see a future with this guy). He gets these temper grumps though for no reason, it can be something really stupid that's really not necessary and he just clams up he wont talk to me and if i try to talk to him he gets really nasty and they can last all day, it generally upsets me and then turns into a big argument. Ok, so here is the scenario... We have a chicken coop. And beside of this chicken coop is a really, really big field. Well, apparently rats lived in the field and they decided that our chicken coop was a much better home. So now there are DOZENS if not HUNDREDS of rats that swarm out at night and eat the chicken...stuff....We need the rats gone WITHOUT hurting the chickens. And with out leaving a bunch of carcasses laying all over the place for our dogs to eat...and get random diseases and die....Can anyone help us? It's really gross and I just do not do rats....I can deal with many rodents but NOT rats....

I gave away my dog. I am now extremely sad.?

I gave my dog away 2 days ago to my boyfriends half brother. She was a 6 year old Chihuahua that I had got off of craigslist around 1 year ago. I got her from a couple who locked her in a bathroom most of the day while they worked. She was the sweetest most beautiful dog ever. The problem is that I never spent that much time with her which I deeply regret. My mom worked so she was not able to spend any time with her and sometimes I was not home for days because I would be at my boyfriends house. When I was home I still didn’t give her the attention she deserved. All she wanted was love and attention and even though I loved her very much I didn’t show it that much. I have another dog who is also a chihuahua and I wanted a playmate for him but having 2 dogs was becoming difficult to handle. Not to mention I am pregnant. I need to be able to focus a lot of my attention to my baby when he comes so I felt that giving her away was the best I could do. I can’t help but to feel like I made the wrong decision. I wanted my dog to be happy its just I always thought she would be happy with me, I feel like I betrayed her. I know where she is and I know she is with so It makes me feel a little better but I still can’t help but to want her with me. I told my boyfriends brother that if for some reason having her did not work out then he can return her back to me which if he did I would not give her away again but I know that won’t happen. I just feel regret for not being there more for her. I know that I helped give her a better life but I miss her dearly. When my boyfriend gave her to his brother I cried hysterically. Should I buy a playmate for an orphaned wild mouse?

I'm taking care of an orphaned wild mouse a neighbor found in her home the other day. I believe she's about 16 days old since her eyes opened the day she came into our care and it's been about two days since then. I know mice are social creatures so I worry about her being alone. I sometimes let her sleep in my hand (in a tissue of course) so she gets the feeling of closeness with her caretaker, but I worry about her sleeping all day. I've found online that the best time to buy a pet mouse is five to six weeks old. I'm wondering if I should get her a playmate once she's that old? I know females tend to not fight amongst each other, and I'm fairly sure she's female, but I'm a bit worried since she's technically a wild animal.

Can or should I bring my 8 week kitten back to see his mom and siblings for a visit?

My boyfriend's cat had a litter of six kittens 4/10/11. Since then we have given 3 away, he is keeping 2, and I am keeping one (we live seperately). I just took my little dude home this weekend and he was fine but I know he's super active and loves to play and misses his playmates. I took him back last night for a visit, and he went up to the mom cat and she pretty much ignored him so then he wound up playing though with his two brothers just like they did before. By the end when I took him home that night, the mom kind of looked sad when we took him and he whined in the car a bit (but I don't know if that's because he just didn't enjoy the car ride as he meowed on the way over as well). So there were no real problems, but I'm just wondering is it benefical or detrimental doing this? I was planning on just doing this like once or twice a week have a visit til he gets older and isn't as interested in playing. I know it's good for him to play, but is it just confusing them all? If anyone has advice, like a vet or animal rescuer that would be great.

I am looking into getting a Great Family dog. Please help! What breed would be good?

I am married with 2 kids and one on the way. Here in the next few months we are looking into getting a family dog. I have a few breeds in mind as I am a animal lover, but would like to get others thoughts. My husband and I have a 3 year old heeler who is a wonderful dog, but she treats us like her heard(that is what she is to do, they are working dogs) because of this she protects us with her life. My bunny Daisy. She is a female mini lop and she is about 5 months old. She has a playmate Peter. Who is a male but is also a mini lop who is about 4 months old. They are in the same cage, the cuddle and get along. She just seems sad though. Okay, so I have a one year old shih tzu and I think she might be pregnant. Raising two puppies? Why do people so BAD IDEA?

Well I'm in the same predicament. Only I have two male pitbulls. I had a golden retriever which is close to the problems and attitudes of ur lab. Never had a husky but I am going to school for vet tech and have always been interested in dogs. Number 1: ppl say its a bad idea because of the amount of tension and stress it causes. U r doin right by separating them and giving each their own time. Number two: don't let them even begin to fight because it will cause competition and slight domination in one if your dogs. Which at sum point, the dominant dog might test u or the one getting bullied will lash out on the other one. Kinda like Wat ppl do wen being bullied. Number three: research each breed. Labs r natural hunters and retrievers. They tend to be more hyper and smell out where the garbage is, where ur shoes r, etc. They don't really stop chewing till they r two. Find games that let het natural instincts take hold. She will be more attentive and eager to learn and play. The husky, I know they r workers and also very hyper. U have to walk them to burn out their energy. Once u master each dogs bad habits then it will be ok to train them to do something together. The best thing about ur situation is u have two similar dogs that can relate to each other with playing and training. Luckily u didn't get a poodle and a husky. Lol. Also, the success stories I heard have been from professional trainers and also regular ppl. U have to give each dog confidence and comfort. They each have to know u r the alpha and they r equal.

last night around 1 am I went downtown in my city in NC, 22 black male I have an 03 Cadillac DTS heavily customized, I was leaving a party n wanted to see who was downtown, as I go downtown a bike cop comes beside me and says something I couldnt tell what he said so I slowed down and he told me to "put the f****** car in park" so I do so and he keeps yelling at me so I tell him to "calm the f*** down," as soon as I say that he says " get the f*** out of the car your going to jail" pulls open my door pulls me out of car throws cuffs on me and they start going thru my car in the middle of down town street toe my car and put me in jail, rights never read never told what charged for or anything until I got to station, where they said I was " resisting arrest, disorderly conduct , disturbing the peace, and intoxicated" when I asked him how was I intoxicated he said you looked intoxicated.. they found a small bottle from party closed in my center console when they searched and tossed around my car.. Honestly only charge I would of understood was open container but they never tested me for alcohol so how am I intoxicated? I also NEVER got an official ticket from them even when my bond was paid and I got home at 7 am.. I mean I know I shouldn't curse at a cop but I did out of I guess confusion and the way he approached me like I was a drug dealer off gate, is there anything in this case which I could fight? the bonds lady told me I cant be charged for intoxication without being tested

Don't let her get away with that kind of stuff. You just taught her it was OK to do stuff like that and you'll still be around. So, find out what the deal is. Because if she really is the type to play mind games - do you really want her in your life? Do you really want to be with someone who will mess with you like that? If she is mad at you, that is one thing. But to toy with your emotions just for the fun of it IS really messed up. I am twenty years of age and I was diagnosed with depression and AD-HD in the 7th grade. I am medicated for both. I also have constant bladder infections, it's normal for me to have one every month. After much testing and many doctors examining me, nothing was found. I have to drink water and this cranberry juice concentrate like crazy because if I don't the infection comes instantly. I stand at 5 feet and weigh 97lbs, which is very healthy. I eat healthy but being in college I do snack on some junk food. ...But beside all of the problems that have been addressed, I am ALWAYS tired. I can take several naps a day. My body feels week and so helpless. When I am working out at the gym or having a fun day with friends, I sometimes become very dizzy. My vision will become blurred and I even feel as if I might faint. It's normal for me have pounding headaches during all of this. I don't understand why I don't have energy and my body never feels 'good'. Please help. If you don't know what is wrong but can relate, please tell me what you do to feel better. What are some good ways to keep your mind off things? I think I may be too focused if that even makes sense?

For some reason I always had a non stop motor. I can sit down and focus on a task for hours at a time if I put my mind to it. It helped me during school but life after graduation I find it extremely inhibiting. For example, I would be reading an article and something in it will catch my eye. Then I'll devote the next 2 hours researching it and jotting down notes about it. It's crazy. This is why I drink so much now to clam me down. If I don't take depressants or drink I am able to function on 3-4 hours of sleep per night. It's like I am on meth 24/7 even though I never take any stimulants or drink coffee. What could be wrong with me? I have been this way for past 10+ years.

Today I went over to my sister's house. My doggy is acting really really weird?

I have 3 female dogs and one just had her very first litter three days. Are there any insects for freshwater community aquariums?

I've had freshwater tanks my entire life. One of my only complaints with this hobby is it seems there are fewer non-fish options for freshwater tanks vs. saltwater. He might be a very protective breed like a Chihuahua or German shepherd. They tend to have one person they are protective of. Eventually he'll get used to the rest of the family. Just give him some time. Just try to get him socialized with other people than just them and other animals and dogs. He is probably not used to his new.surroundings and is just trying to find his bearrings.

Yesterday, I had a day out with my friends and my brother's friends. My brother brought along his mate, (lets say Bobby) and it's been awhile since we've talked. I met him in 4th class when he was in sixth. When he left for secondary school, I began to miss him a lot but I thought this was because we were friends. So, when we (back to the day trip) went to his house to pick him up, when I saw him my heart went all fluttery and I felt something in my chest. When he sat in the car, I was breathless. He looked at me at the corner of his eyes. I looked at him at the corner of my eyes. Later on, about an hour into the trip, we arrived at our destination; a bowling alley. We all went inside and decided it was boys against girls. My brother went first and got 9 pins down, (10 pin bowling) my crush Bobby had his go and got the same. (and so did this other dude that came along too) The girls had their go, Kat went first, then me (i missed them all, i hadn't gone bowling in ages) and my other friend; Ann. When the boys were up again, everyone got the same thing except Bobby, he had missed his. After that, he kept on going over to the girls and sitting beside me. Every time my heart went all fluttery! Good Afternoon Dog Section?

We got a Jack Russel/Rat Terrier mix last year. About 3 months later we ended up getting another Jack Russel to keep her company. I think it helped our Jack Rat as we're gone much of the day. Sophie seems more content with her friend Roush around. They bonded very quickly and have since become a rather formidable team to reckon with. Being Jacks, their energy level is through the roof, and we're never quite sure what we'll come home to on a daily basis. 2 computer chairs 1 couch 4 sets of curtains and several power cords later, we still wouldn't trade them for anything... most days.

I looked around and there is only one tree, and i couldnt see anywhere i could put it up the tree so i brought it home ... should i bring it back or what?? I didnt know what to do cos i onloy saw it cos i nearly stepped on it, the areas beside a shop and its a carpark and theres no bushes etc to put it in.. 9 month old teething canine teeth?

My 9 month old daughter has her top 2 and bottom 2 teeth. She has had a fever that got as high as 103 at one point but has stayed about 101 for the majority of the past 2 days. i looked at her mouth and noiced her canine teeth are coming in but the ones that should be beside them aren't in yet. I read these teeth shouldnt come in until 18months. Has anyone else had this happen? She acts like she is in more pain with these 2 teeth than any others. any suggestions? will this make her baby teeth crooked since they are coming in out of "order"?

How much harder is it to take care of two kittens then one kitten?

I now have 2 male cats that are litter mates (they are brothers.) Two are not much more work then one and it is good that they have company. You will need a second food bowl, but that's about it. Have them neutered and spayed, if they haven't already been. Of course, u will use more kitty litter and more good quality cat food. Also u will need to take them both to the vet. Definitely worth it!

It is not that she does not like your baby, she needs time to herself, the baby is not her obligation on her off days. Sure she has other friends and so should you, start a coop are maybe the ones that you meet with let them know you don't have a car, and I am sure one of them will pick you and your son up to go and meet with them. Hello, I have had my little angel, Harriet, for the last 13 years and needless to say she has had a very exciting life. She is a Euorpean Shorhair mix I got from the humain socirty 12 or so years ago and has been my best friend since. About 2 years ago her playmate, our dog, passed away of brain cancer he was 15 when he passed and since then we have moved from our nice big 3200 sq ft home on an acer of property in Idaho to a smaller home in order to start a new job in New Mexico. In addtion we spend much more time at work (my husband and I were students)m less time at home and there are less people ( we lived with my parents while at school) with her. It breaks my heart that every time we come home she runs to the door and cries and beggs to played with (which I do love to do with her) but seems like the long day alone has been a torment. My parents bought 2 new puppies which she did not take to and in the past she has had mixed reactions to other cats. Should I get her a friend to play with? Why i keep dreaming about relatives who passed away?

My Gateway NV7802u laptop is doing weird things?

Okay, so recently on my Gateway laptop, I have been having crashes at random. Windows 7's error management said it was a problem with the Intel graphics driver, and that it couldn't get the solution. I saw in the windows updates there was an update for my graphic's driver, so I though I should try that and see what happens. I decide to download all the updates. About 30 minutes into downloading the updates, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then says the optimal resolution is something like 33,000 by 10,000. A few minutes later , this happens again, but the resolution gets really small for a few seconds. At the moment I am sitting beside my updating laptop. This is from my IPod. My laptop is used for playing minor games, since the graphics card is old and bad. I would get a pc, but I am still a kid, so I cant afford one. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

How to prevent pregnancy without leaving my dog at home?

I spend the night at my fathers on Saturdays and usually go over for a few hours one or two other days as well. My 11 month old dog goes with me, and after an initially rocky start, has made best friends with my dad's 6 month old yorkie. They go crazy for each other and she looks downright depressed for a while when we go back to my moms. i hear he does too after she leaves. On Saturdays she sees me packing up her food and toys and goes nuts. The only problem is she's a 7.4 lb Pom/chi and Teddy is a 3 lb yorkie and neither are fixed and they never will be due to health reasons. I really don't want to leave her home since she's due to go into heat soon, and would hate to keep them separated if I did take her. She has no other close doggy friends and just lives with two crotchety old cats. Teddy has no friends either and lives with a two large 13 year old neutered dogs and a cat, so he has no playmates at all either besides her. How did my bunny die?

I was dumped exactly a week ago without any sort of warning that anything was wrong. He'd even given me a gift the day before. How to introduce a new Pug puppy to my current Pug puppy?

Mistake getting another puppy, your first puppy is not trained, the bladder is just grown, adding a new puppy will undo all the work you did with potty training. The stress of new schedules will mess up both puppies. It is only 1 hour for each month of age with puppies, so a 2 month old puppy can only be alone/hold its potty for 2 hours at the most. No one will be there for either puppy, this is a terrible thing to do to either of these puppies. You can't train a puppy in 3 days. I hope this question is one of those joke questions I just don't understand. I hope your question is just a bad joke. This would be terrible for both puppies, I hope it is just a joke question. Please don't get another puppy, please don't be that cruel. I take my older dogs outside and then introduce the new puppy outside so if anyone has to pee they do it outside. It takes older dogs a while to warm up to new puppies, usually a few months. The baby teeth come out between 4 and 6-months-old and the puppy gets a little bigger then. While I expect them to work some things out on their own, I step in when anyone does a behavior I don't allow. Be fair, if the older dog starts it, correct that, if the younger one starts it, correct that. I use the command "shame" so I point at the one who started it, snap my fingers, and use a command "shame" when they behave, I praise them. I use Charlee Bears for potty training, so when the new puppy goes potty, she gets a treat, and so do the other dogs. The puppy learns to share treats and that she is not more important than the other dogs. I do everything as a group. Potty, leashes, training, walks, play time, combing hair, it is all done as a group. You can give an older dog extra attention while you are waiting for a puppy to go potty. While I expect them to work some things out, I correct any behavior I don't allow, the second it starts, they are each others pack now, but it is my job to step in and correct any behaviors I don't allow. It just takes time but you get out of them what you put into them, so hang in there.

So i was dreaming and i was near a little forest, and i tried to move but i couldn't, and there were two giant rocks beside me, and although i saw a hawk circling the sky i felt protected. then, i spotted a mouse scurrying between my feet, and then it moved and circled one of the rocks. suddenly the hawk swooped down and i thought it was going for the mouse, i didn't really care because i felt so protected, but at the last second the hawk lifted the stones up ( they were so huge i didn't know how that was possible) and carried them away. then i felt so exposed and scared, and then the mouse glared at me im positive, and it changed into a polar bear and it was about to slash me when i woke up. Okay, like a week ago, my little sister went to a park near the ocean and found a live closed small clam, as big as a regular small cookie, and it was white, and well my mom said lets keep it in a little tank until we go back supposedly the next day but we didnt go, and well it just layed there on the tank closed, on top of big rocks, and well today thurdays, an hour ago after i me and my family came from jack in the box, the clam opened, widely and my mom like 'its sleepin with his mouth opened ' -_- & well, idgaf but then right now im home alone and i softly poked its toungue or whatever that thing inside is, and nothing happened i then taught it was dead and tried to closed the clam, and it didnt, so wtf happened, should i just trow it out or go to the ocean and trow it out? Or if its alive what should i do with it?
